ASA COLOR LED
【LEDs with Phosphor Caps】
Achieve your ideal light with uniform color. Our blue LEDs and proprietary phosphor caps deliver the precise emission color you envision.
ASA COLOR LED: Solving Optical Design Challenges with Beautiful, Uniform Lighting for Automotive Interiors

ASA COLOR LED is a high-quality LED featuring a blue LED covered with a phosphor-containing silicone rubber cap.
By adjusting the phosphor blend within the cap, we can create a wide range of chromaticities.
We define chromaticity specifications using chromaticity coordinates, correlated color temperature, and deviation from the blackbody locus, and propose specifications tailored to your requirements.
All products are manufactured in Japan. In the 22 years since its launch, cumulative sales have exceeded 3 billion units. ASA COLOR LED has been adopted by 19 automotive manufacturers—9 in Japan, 7 in Europe, and 3 in North America—and used in more than 150 vehicle models.

Features
High-Quality Color Matching Technology
- A color matching service that helps you select LEDs with the optimal color and brightness using your actual device.
- Visual color matching that takes into account the paint color surrounding the illuminated surface and the size of the illuminated area.
- Fast response times aligned with your design schedule.
Extensive Color Variations
With more than 10,000 color variations, you can find the ideal color for your application.
Reduced Variation in Color and Luminous Intensity
LEDs are sorted and classified by wavelength bin. Each bin is paired with a matching color cap to reduce variations in color and luminous intensity.
Consistent Quality
By controlling variations in mass-produced products to follow a normal distribution, we can consistently supply LEDs within a single chromaticity bin and a single luminous intensity bin over the long term, even across different production lots.
Light Attenuation Technology for Brightness Control
Light attenuation can be applied alongside color matching.
This allows brightness to be adjusted under rated operating conditions while avoiding unstable illumination at low currents.
